
Travis Boulter
Travis is the Research Coordinator for the Complex Chronic Diseases Program’s research team connected to the Women’s Health Research Institute at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Center. He completed a BA in Psychology at Simon Fraser University in 2017, and have been working in the area of public health research since 2018. Travis has been with the CCDP since 2019. His current research interests are in the initiation of clinical trials for new treatments from the management of symptoms associated with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Fibromyalgia, and Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome. Outside of work and research, he spends a lot of time learning about botany/mycology, building electronics, geology, baking, and trying to make the best cup of coffee. Travis also has two cats (Mini-Wheat & Bagheera) and a pet snail named Henry.

Jaymie Cristobal
Jaymie is a Research Project Assistant for the Complex Chronic Disease Research Program. She recently completed her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Simon Fraser University in June 2023. Her areas of research interests include studying the determinants of health in complex chronic conditions and brain injuries. She is also interested in knowledge translation and the intersection between art/design and science. Outside of WHRI, you’ll likely find Jaymie exploring Vancouver’s ramen spots, hiking and spending time with her dog, Ruby.

Emily Meagher
Emily Meagher serves as a Research Assistant at the Complex Chronic Disease Program (CCDP), where she contributes to the understanding and treatment of Complex Chronic diseases. Her work is informed by a strong interest in evidence-based practice, aiming to bridge the gap between research and patient care. Holding a Master of Public Health from the University of British Columbia, Emily’s academic journey includes a practicum with the CCDP. Her experience extends beyond research, encompassing strategic planning, where she gained insights into the administrative aspects of healthcare program management. Currently, Emily is furthering her education with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. This step reflects her commitment to expanding her clinical knowledge and skills, with a long-term goal of engaging in clinical research. Through her diverse educational and professional experiences, Emily aims to contribute significantly to the field of chronic disease research, focusing on improving outcomes for patients with these understudied conditions.

Carola Muñoz
Carola Muñoz is the Research Manager for Ambulatory Programs at BC Women’s Hospital at the Women’s Health Research Institute. After working for seven years in research at UBC, where she gained experience in research coordination and management, Carola made a switch to hospital based research and has been working in health care research facilitation and management since 2016. In her initial days with the CCDP Research Program, Carola helped pilot and operationalize the CCDP Research Data Registry. Currently, she oversees and guides the CCDP Research Program’s ICanCME Research Network funded projects, and the wonderful staff that support this research.

Olivia McCurry
Olivia is a volunteer research assistant for the CCDP. They currently attending The University of British Columbia (UBC) as an undergraduate science student, and I am majoring in Biology. I am very interested in developing my knowledge of the process of research as I intend to pursue a masters degree once I have completed my undergraduate degree at UBC. Eventually, my goal is to go into the medical field and as such, I am particularly interested in clinical research.
